Our number one priority is your safety. In some cases, we may pause delivery service to make sure we can safely and reliably operate. The following conditions could cause this to happen:
Inclement weather. We’ll pause service if conditions such as high winds would prevent us from accurately delivering to you. This can happen even on seemingly clear days. Often the weather is different where we fly—hundreds of feet in the air—than it is on the ground.
Maintenance. Our systems run continuous and comprehensive safety checks on drones, pods, docks, and our software. We may pause service if one of these checks flags an issue that we need to take care of during service hours. During maintenance, some addresses or areas may be marked as temporarily unserviceable. This is a temporary measure and does not affect the long-term eligibility of your address for service.
Clearing the airspace. In some situations, federal regulators will need to clear the airspace of all drones. In those cases, we comply with regulations, which may interrupt service.4. High Demand. During peak times, such as weekends or after 5 PM, delivery capacity may be exceeded, causing temporary pauses in service. These pauses are resolved as capacity becomes available.5. Technical Issues. System outages or fleet problems may occasionally interrupt service. These issues are addressed promptly to restore normal operations.
When service is paused, our team is working to resume it as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience with us! You can check the Zipline app for real-time updates on delivery availability. If service is paused, try placing your order again after 10–15 minutes, as availability often updates. Rest assured, a paused status does not affect your address's eligibility for service.
