What happens if some items are out of stock?

Zipline’s app inventory is not updated in real time, and item availability is confirmed during the order fulfillment process by shoppers. If a shopper finds that an item is out of stock while preparing your order, they remove it from the order as out-of-stock.

  • Automatic Removal and No Charge: Out-of-stock items are automatically removed from your order, and you will not be charged for them.

  • Delivery of Remaining Items: Even if an item is removed due to unavailability, the remaining items in your order will still be delivered as scheduled. The delivery window shown in the app remains valid.

What happens if all items are out of stock?

If all items in your order are out of stock, your order will be canceled automatically, as there will be nothing to ship. Your Zipline app should indicate the order was canceled due to all items being out-of-stock.

What can I do if an item I want is unavailable?

Although orders cannot be edited once submitted, you have the following options:

  • Place a New Order: If an item is unavailable in your original order, you can place a new order for the same or similar item. Zipline allows multiple deliveries, so there is no limit on ordering again, subject to any minimum orders or delivery fees.

  • Check Item Availability Again: Sometimes, items may be restocked. You can check the app periodically for updates on availability.
